Is it getting hot or what?! My mind is in a continuous wanderlust mood, but my work obligations keep me tied down in a busy, never sleeping Athens. It’s hard to stay focused and even harder to get all the work done (but do watch out for my Instagram stories where I will posting about some of my projects in progress). My dress code lately? Light and casual. No surprises there. But, if you’re feeling a little “stuck” like me sometimes with the same old same old, then these inspiring images of the coolest chic summer outfits will get you back on track and in the right mood. The great thing about them is that you can wear them from morning till dusk, no matter what the day might throw at you. They celebrate summer in the city where just about anything is possible… 😉

A white tee with a logo, paired with white shorts and a blazer in a minty color looks so chic. The model also wears a pair of long yellow tassel earrings to add on that summer vibe. Image by River Island.

The white tee is a low key element. The jacket and earrings are both high key elements. Instagram fashion influencers combine such high and low key elements to make statement outfits that look casually chic (read more about this here).

Does this qualify as a jumpsuit or overalls? This model is wearing a bright floral print jumpsuit with spaghetti strings and a black tee under it, paired with a leopard print handbag and black sliders. Cool! Image by River Island.

Image by River Island (via). Another easy going statement outfit. This jumpsuit with its ruffles is a high key element. The black tee though is a low key element and the perfect contrast for this edgy look. Cat’s thin sunglasses and large hoop earrings are the trendiest accessories to pair this outfit.

I love this yellow dress with stripes. It's the perfect way to wear yellow if you're not into it. This model has paired with black pumps. Image by River Island.

Stripes - always chic! A striped jumpsuit paired with a small waist pochette and black sandals looks all so good on this woman. Image by River Island.

That must be this summer's coolest knitdress paired with coordinating cardigan, as worn by model. It reminds me of Missoni's chevron patterns. Image by River Island.

What a gorgeous midi navy blue dress. So simple and chic, paired with a straw bag and wedge platforms. This blonde surely looks good in it. Image by Sosandar.

Orange is not my colors. But this mini orange dress with a purple print looks nice on this blonde woman. I have to reconsider orange. Image by Dorothy Perkins.

Statement stripes. A woman sitting on a stool shows off her pink and white stripe Bardot top paired with wide leg pants with rainbow stripes. Image by Matalan.

I got one last tip for you: add gold hoop earrings (or long statement earrings for that matter), a straw bag, thin cat’s eye sunglasses and a statement belt (the up-and-coming statement accessory that is making a huge return this autumn). That’s the trendiest way to bring up-to-date any older outfit. You can’t go wrong with any these accessories! It’s a good thing that I held on to my black cat’s eye sunshades from the 90’s. 😉

These green cat's eyes sunglasses paired with a up-hair-do and long blue statement earrings look so posh on this brunette woman. Image by River Island.
